Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" is not a company, but a stage play written by British playwright Jack Thorne based on an original new story by Thorne, J.K. Rowling, and John Tiffany. Premiering in London's West End in 2016, the play is presented in two parts and is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series, set nineteen years after the events of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". It follows Harry Potter, now a Ministry of Magic employee, and his youngest son Albus Severus Potter. The narrative explores themes of legacy, family, and forgiveness. The play has received critical acclaim, winning numerous awards, including the 2017 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play. It has since been produced in several other cities around the world, expanding its reach and continuing the legacy of the Harry Potter franchise.
