Enterprise
Enterprise Holdings, Inc., commonly known as Enterprise, is an American private car rental, fleet management, and mobility services company headquartered in Clayton, Missouri. Founded by Jack Taylor in 1957, the company started as Executive Leasing Company in St. Louis with a fleet of seven cars. It was renamed Enterprise in 1969, in honor of the USS Enterprise, the aircraft carrier Taylor served on during World War II. Enterprise is now one of the largest car rental companies in the world, operating with an extensive network that includes the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car brands. The company is known for its "We'll Pick You Up" service and a business model that places rental offices in neighborhood and airport locations to cater to both local and tourist customers. Its services encompass a wide range of options from short-term rentals to car sales, and it has expanded globally to various continents, including Europe and Asia.
